Our first collab shandy range: Diddly Squat Farm Shop

Over the course of 2022, we had the pleasure of getting to know the team at Diddly Squat Farm Shop. If you haven't heard of it, we guess that you might not have seen the Amazon Prime hit series Clarkson's Farm, which followed the trials and tribulations of British broadcasting veteran Jeremy Clarkson and friends (including everyone from his lovely girlfriend Lisa to local dry stone waller Gerald) as they turned their hands to farming their patch of Cotswolds land.

We thoroughly enjoyed the show ourselves, so when the Diddly Squat team asked us (as a local company to the shop) if we'd be interested in helping them produce a range of collaboration shandies for the shop, we didn't hesitate to get involved. Our longstanding friendship with Cotswold Brew Co also played a role: Jeremy and his friends have recently taken a stake in the brewery, rebranding it to Hawkstone and supporting the lovely Rick and Emma with its growth.

So, let's get down to business. The first shandy we created together was a special edition of our Elderflower Lager Top, using elderflower picked from hedges on the farm itself and the absolutely delicious Hawkstone 3.8 Pils lager. We knew we'd hit the jackpot when Gerald described it as 'foive out of foive'.

The second product we made together was a version of our Ginger Beer Shandy featuring Hawkstone's IPA, a flavour-packed beer that made for a tasty autumn/winter refresher for visitors to the farm.

Both products in the range are now sold in the shop and online, and we can't wait to have more fun with the Diddly Squat team in 2023 when the new series of Clarkson's Farm is released.
