CONTENT & COMMUNITY EXECUTIVE

We're looking for an ambitious, creative Content & Community Executive to help us make Shandy Shack the most-loved mid-strength beer in the country.

THE BRAND:

We're Shandy Shack, an award-winning mid-strength beer brand specialising in craft beer shandy. Founded by friends back in summer 2018, we’ve grown from the humble beginnings of a festival tour in our hand-built pop-up Shack, to the fridges and shelves of bars and supermarkets all over the country.

But, why do we exist?

Moderation shouldn’t be a choice between all (full-strength) or nothing (non-alcoholic). As a format, shandy sits in a perfect middle ground, where you can achieve delicious flavour combinations with a lower level of alcohol. Our range of four vegan, gluten-free shandies, including lemon, elderflower, raspberry and ginger, are testament to this.

What’s more, shandy is a drink with longstanding cultural status, and therefore offers a creative playground full of amusing, outdated associations and stereotypes.

Over the last few years, we've validated this opportunity by winning multiple major listings, including supermarkets like Sainsbury’s and national wholesalers like Bidfood. We've also been heavily featured by mainstream national media, such as on ITV’s This Morning (twice), in The Times and on BBC Radio 4 to name but a few. This has generated a loyal community of shandy fans who engage via our direct-to-consumer channels. We also have a first mover advantage in this fast-growing category, in which we have been joined by brands like Foster’s and Camden Town Brewery in the last 12 months.

Having recently been acquired by leading UK drinks group SHS Drinks, we’re about to massively accelerate our brand’s growth trajectory. Our marketing function, in which this role sits, will naturally play a huge part in this, with the three main objectives of a.) sampling our shandies far and wide, b.) landing our brand positioning and c.) expanding and entertaining our community.

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As our Content & Community Executive, you’ll be at the heart of bringing Shandy Shack’s story to life and growing a loyal, engaged community. Your creativity and passion for content and connection will help us make Shandy Shack the UK’s most-loved mid-strength beer.
