We're on a mission to reinvent shandy.

The story of Shandy Shack begins in a quiet craft beer joint on a drizzly evening in the Brecon Beacons. A long day of hiking had taken the wind from our sails, and we were in dire need of refreshment. Then came our eureka moment. It was time to give shandy a second chance.

Combining a hop-packed Welsh IPA with a generous dash of lemonade, we took our first glug of sweet shandy nectar from a frosted stemmed glass.

It was love at first sip!

That night, we swore that we would build a pop-up bar, and tour it around the country giving people a taste of what we dubbed the #shandyrevolution. We started trying countless beers, and an eye-watering amount of soda, and eventually settled on a cracking selection that we would serve in our loveably-rickety Shandy Shack, full of beautiful bits of upcycled waste.

Our first few events were unforgettable: as much for the frequent chaos we encountered as we towed our shack around the country, as for the overwhelmingly positive feedback we received when people tasted our stuff. The wheels may have fallen off literally, but they were firmly on metaphorically…

But we had bigger ambitions than serving guest beers and sodas in our shack. We wanted to make the ultimate shandy ourselves, right from scratch. So we spent months cutting our teeth in a brewery, and tasting more lemonades than you can shake a stick at - all in quest of the perfect recipe. And in spring of 2019, we produced our first batch of our very own shandy!

This summer, we’ll be continuing our tour of the UK, serving shots, bottles, pints and pitchers of our shandy to give you a taste of this unique new low-alcohol alternative to your traditional tipple.
